The Red Hat Security team is looking for a Developer in Test to join us in Brno, Czech republic. In this role, you will work on enhancements of Linux operating system security. You'll create test plans and research new features. You will also perform acceptance, function, regression, integration, and performance testing on Red Hat solutions. As a Developer in Test, you'll oversee all aspects of quality for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) security, including developing new automated tests.
Primary job responsibilities
Use your Linux knowledge and coding skills to improve the quality of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Design and develop tools, frameworks and tests to support automation and CI goals
Uncover issues that could have an impact on functionality, security, or interoperability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with other solutions
Actively collaborate with developers and other team members
Get involved in open source projects and communities with a goal to improve their quality
Keep up to date with latest technologies and development methodologies
Working experience as a Linux administrator or power user
Proficient knowledge of Shell scripting language
Interest and potential to grow in some technology area owned by our team like crypto libraries, secured networking, logging and auditing, identity management, software management, SELinux, security compliance using OpenSCAP, containers
Analytical thinking and good problem-solving skills; fast learner with the ability to work as part of a team
Good organizational skills, with the ability to work on your own with minimal supervision
Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
Programming experience in C or Python is an advantage
Experience with agile software development or continuous integration tools is a plus
