The Red Hat Information Technology team is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will serve as part of Red Hat's Information Security team, which is responsible for ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Red Hat's systems, data, and networks. You'll need to maintain a current knowledge of security vulnerabilities to help you evaluate, recommend, and implement security controls to prevent unauthorized access to company information. We’ll need you to have great communication skills because you will consult with management and other areas of the business, advising them on their projects and on the impact that theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access has on Red Hat's overall success.
Primary job responsibilities
Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems which deliver key Red Hat information security services
Stay current with information security developments (e.g. vulnerabilities, threat activity, attacker techniques, and countermeasures) and apply these in an enterprise context
Automate detection, alerting and handling of potential security incidents
Perform information security incident handling and respond to customer inquiries
Work to understand and improve Red Hat's security architecture
Provide security consulting, awareness, and outreach to all areas of the business
Support information security initiatives from creation to delivery
2+ years of experience in a technical or operational role with a firm information security focus; or 3+ years in a Linux systems administration or similar technical role
Proven history of working in a position of trust
Administration of Linux systems and a familiarity with the security maintenance and hardening and management of these systems at scale
Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team using multiple communication methods to facilitate collaboration (chat, voice, video, email)
Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively and professionally to a wide variety of audiences
Passion to work with open source technologies to solve complex and challenging problems
Methodical, data-driven approach to security analysis but with the ability to think laterally and creatively to implement security improvements and detect or respond to incidents
Programming, scripting, or other automation experience
Recognised industry certifications, including Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), CISSP, CISA, OSCP, and CCNA
