Oracle Netsuite is looking for an exceptional, self-directed Product Manager who will be responsible for indirect tax and compliance functionality that delivers accurate tax calculation and reporting, automation, control and ease of use. This position will involve working with product teams based in other countries including the Czech Republic and the Philippines.


  • Research, analyze, and document regulatory/legislative changes to ensure that our products and any service offerings are better than competitors.

  • Investigate and influence NetSuite product changes and designs to ensure that we maintain our industry leader role for global tax and compliance

  • Drive projects with product teams to ensure that the NetSuite tax engine can support tax rules and determination for most countries for both sales and purchase transactions

  • Understand how VAT determination and place of supply rules work and how to meet user needs for tax reporting

  • Write functional specification documents and user stories that clearly describes the functionality required for every region/country.

  • Business and technical awareness of future Legislation/Regulation changes.

  • Collaborate with other International product managers to get input and alignment on the vision and roadmap for tax and compliance.

Qualifications/Skills for the role

  • Deep understanding of ERP systems and the indirect tax marketplace would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of indirect tax with specific emphasis on VAT and GST

  • Passion for and ability to understand customer needs and deliver great solutions with a great user experience.

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent with 2 years experience in ERP systems or experience in Product Management role with a software company

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
