FNZ Test Automation Specialist in Brno, Czech Republic

This opportunity involves playing a key role in a team responsible for the development of test automation for FNZ’s financial management web-based applications.

Duties will include:

  • Working with project teams to gather requirements in order to deliver automation solutions and save manual testing time.

  • Designing, development and customisation of automation modules / tests enabling

  • Collaborative working with FNZ Test Teams.

  • Low maintenance approach incorporating a shared automation library.

  • Variable data to be input via User Interfaces.

  • Implement test automation in the Continuous Integration and Version Control processes.

  • Developing tests to ensure that the automation works correctly, including collaborating with development and test teams to visualise and present results.

  • Participating in test automation framework enhancements.

  • Communicate and distribute the test automation capability to other teams.

To be considered for this role you will show demonstrable skills in test automation development on enterprise-level systems (or equivalent). You will have experience in developing in a fast paced environment.

You will also have experience of most of the following:

  • Strong design skills.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, derive and demonstrate solutions to problems.

  • Knowledge of software development practices, including version control, code reviews, design patterns, continuous integration and refactoring.

  • Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance practices in software development (Test stages, Regression tests, Risk based planning etc).

  • Good SQL, database & systems knowledge.

  • Experience in any programming or scripting language (C#, Java, .Net, PHP, Groovy, Python, etc).

It is advantageous to have any of the following:

  • Experience in any test automation tools or interfaces: Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver, WatiN, SoapUI, QTP, Fitnesse, NUnit, xUnit, Gallio, Visual Studio or other.

  • Experience with agile programming methodology and working closely with / in development teams.

  • Experience of project management tools.

  • Experience with performance testing and system optimisation.

  • Experience in working with colleagues in other locations (Near shore teams).

  • Experience with Object-Oriented programming.

  • Knowledge of UML and the ability to produce effective documentation.

  • Experience with web-related technologies (REST, SOAP, HTTP, XML).

  • Knowledge of financial business covering client applications:

  • Account creation including AML and Experian

  • Corporate Actions

  • Payments (In & Out)

  • Orders Management

  • Products – ISA, Savings Accounts, SIPPs

  • Transfers (In & Out)
