The Key Account Manager job level in CZ/SK/HU Cluster is for sales professionals with excellent success records, whose role includes significant project and other work undertaken in the country.

  • To work and connect with all involved national and local parties and arrange follow-up on treatment of patients with Shire products.

  • To promote our products as defined by the company, to healthcare professionals in relevant target groups in territory.

  • To maximize the business benefit, sales and profit, through the local implementation of Shire marketing strategy by organizing all necessary contacts and activities in collaboration with Cluster Marketing and Medical Affairs and within the agreed promotional and cost budget.

  • Participation/Lead in projects as defined by the national or Business Unit management.

Opinion leader and Key account management in centers, support and leverage customer connectivity locally and internationally, Product and disease promotion at scientific events.

Initiate and organize education activities to increase disease awareness and patient finding activities

Obtain, share and leverage competitive market intelligence

Plan promotion with management of local investment budget, coordinate demand planning with local wholesaler. Plan and record activities

Education & Experience Requirements

Include educational requirements or equivalency, required years and type(s) of experience, and necessary licenses or certificates. Specify which are required and which are preferred.

Minimum:

  • University degree in Medicine/Biology/Chemistry/Pharmacy or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of sales experience in specialized prescription pharmaceutical business and hospital sector.

  • Excellent expertise on the Czech health care system

  • Fluency in Czech language

Desirable:

  • Experienced in Key Account and Hospital Management.

  • Commercial and marketing experience in pre-launch and launch activities with particular emphasis on hospital selling

  • Intimate knowledge of the Czech pharmaceutical industry’s code of conduct and compliance regulations

  • Existing contacts with specialists in rare diseases

  • IT skills (MS Office literacy minimum)

  • The person must decide on his own travel/visit plans in the territory and where to set priorities in customer support to achieve our goals.

Internal:

  • Reports to Franchise Head of Genetic Diseases of Czech Republic and Slovakia

  • Regular contacts and exchange with colleagues in marketing and sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, occasional interaction with international BU

  • Interaction with national and international peers

External:

  • Key Opinion Leaders, hospital physicians and hospital staff at secondary care level

  • Local and national payers, e.g. at sick funds

  • Patient organizations and regional medical societies and meeting organizers.

  • Logistical Distributor

  • Hospital healthcare professionals and hospital management e.g. Finance/Procurement

Other Job Requirements

  • Driver’s license mandatory.

  • Able to undertake regular frequent travel by road including overnight stay.

  • Good English language skills to allow efficient scientific reading in the disease area and to take part in international meetings and trainings. Slovak language skills are an asset

  • Ability to travel locally and internationally as required.
