Business Insight Analyst

Business insight fulfils a critical role within the Functional Transformations organization supporting successful delivery of strategic change, increasing shareholder value through revenue growth, cost reduction and customer focus. Multi-dimensional analysis combined with commercial awareness are leveraged to drive identification and execution of business opportunities across a variety of Divisions and functions within the EMEA region. The role aims to enhance the sophistication of business insight and is expected to actively research and benchmark ideas and solutions within the industry to strengthen Eaton’s position.
Enterprise analysis - planning and scoping several inter-related initiatives and supporting senior-level business stakeholders to make informed decisions about which initiatives to tackle and how to tackle them.
Develop expertise on business and customer processes, life-cycles, and customer data drivers to support key areas such as Electro-Hydraulics Sales team.
Evaluate and implement opportunities for improving Functional Transformation performance and automating business analytics. Provide guidance, visualisation and interpretation with data best practices.
Establish relationships with key business functions working closely with the EMEA Functional Transformation teams to data-mine and gain insightful information from various systems to help identify opportunities for EMEA Functional Transformation initiatives.
Implement internal and external market based comparative analytics, identifying and monitor strategic benchmarks to support senior leadership decision making.
Lead on assigned portfolio of programs/initiatives ensuring high quality stakeholder communication, engagement and governance of all related activities.
Lead on business/customer data process improvements to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Collaborating with end users to transition and transform current state business/customer data processes into improved analytical capabilities, effectively drive and improve self-service model in the business.
Utilise business insight to develop commercial initiatives for EMEA Functional Transformations and other key business stakeholders such as Energy Storage and Electro-Hydraulics.
Create solid documentation of Business Insight activities, train and transfer knowledge in order to build capacity and capability in the EMEA region.
Collaborating with business stakeholders, such as Sales & Marketing teams and Product Technology, to evaluate and track customer patterns and revenue within Electro-Hydraulics.
Support new business unit activities, such as Energy Storage, with financial modelling and external market research.
Utilising business analytics to connect product and technology solutions with sales opportunities with particular focus on Electro-Hydraulics markets.
Strong communication skills essential (written, verbal including presentation skills)
Strong analytic background within commercial, business or market analysis
Strong mindset on building relationships and networks to support organisational growth
Technical knowledge and extensive experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
Technical knowledge of data extraction and translation (SQL, Databases, Data Warehousing)
Knowledge of C360 and OBIEE an advantage
Consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
Ability to shape unstructured and disjointed data into cohesive business requirements. This skill relies upon root cause analysis capabilities
Analytical, diagnostic and risk profiling skills
Demonstrable leadership style and results
Ability to provide accurate data and influence recipients in relation to content
Strong customer service and business partnering ethos
European languages advantageous
