Amazon has opened an IT support center for internal customers (Fulfilment Center Operations and Amazon Logistics) in Prague (Czech Republic).

We are looking to hire two IT Management interns (full-time, min. 3 months) and Part-Time Intern/Working Student in IT Helpdesk Support (part-time, min. 6 month) to join the team and play a critical role in the Amazon IT Remote Support Center in Prague.

Responsibilities:

IT Management interns

  • Management support, assist management with team management tasks

  • Support setup and launch of Prague IT service center

  • Contribute to reporting

  • Development and updating of standard operating procedures

Part-Time Intern/Working Student in IT Helpdesk Support

  • Be a main point of contact for individuals reporting or highlighting issues with systems or equipment via phone and chat

  • Support all IT Hardware, Software, and Local infrastructure within a very fast-paced and demanding environment

  • Contribute to the evaluation of the IT function and its resources

  • Ensure that issues are addressed and SLAs are met

  • Troubleshoot and resolve systems errors and failures, escalate where appropriate

  • Ensures security procedures are followed and enforced

IT Management interns

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. This includes the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end users over the phone and chat

  • Must be highly self motivated and directed

  • Must possess a keen attention to detail

Part-Time Intern/Working Student in IT Helpdesk Support

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. This includes the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end users over the phone and chat

  • Must be highly self motivated and directed

  • Must possess a keen attention to detail

  • Must have knowledge in Microsoft Windows OS

  • Specific knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and client applications required

  • Hardware and software troubleshooting experience required

  • A good understanding of computer and networking concepts

  • Strong sense of customer service

  • Methodical problem solving and excellent analytical skills.

  • Willingness to train and learn new skills.

  • Demonstrates strong initiative (is proactive) and motivation with the ability to learn quickly.

  • To have flexibility in working hours and shift patterns including weekends to provide cover for operational requirements.

  • Ability to effectively identify, solve or escalate hardware, software and network issues in an operational environment

IT Management interns

  • Another major European Language - German, French, Italian, Spanish

  • Proficient in one or more of the following: Windows, Linux.

  • IT Background

  • Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in a dynamic environment.

Part-Time Intern/Working Student in IT Helpdesk Support

  • Former IT user support experience or training

  • IT education or 2-3 years of experience on relevant position preferably in operational environment

  • Another major European Language - German, French, Italian, Spanish

  • Proficient in one or more of the following: Mac OS X, Linux.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS protocols

  • Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in a dynamic environment.
