What You'll Do

You will test products built with cutting edge technology like Docker, Cassandra, Scala and others. You will be developing tests against physical, virtualized, and cloud environments. You are someone who enjoys owning the creation of automation solutions and tools, with freedom and the expectation to contribute to the technology decisions of the organization. You will have the opportunity to create test frameworks that ensure built-in quality exists from the first line of code to the last. We all enjoy building systems to run tests across all levels of the software from functional to integration to an end to end system. We want you to be as creative as possible to break complex systems and drive quality for our network security products. You will look to apply lean startup principles to validate the growth and value potential in all that we do.

Who You Are

You are an active learner on how to integrate quality practices and patterns. You work with others on the team to expand our quality view and culture. You are able to create test scenarios based upon user stories in partnership with team members. You actively research how the system is put together to improve testing strategies. You have coding skills and are willing to learn new technologies (Ruby, Javascript, and/or Scala) to automate test cases. You can work with leadership and other test team members to create and enforce quality standards. You posses an inner level of confidence that allows you to lead some days and follow others based on what is needed for the desired outcomes. You are an active learner on a journey with no set destination.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of software engineering experience

• 1+ years knowledge of testing process and quality mindset

• knowledge of networking and TCPIP

• Working experience with the Linux OS

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, gherkin, Turnip, Junit, etc.)

• Experience using Open Source Performance/Load Testing Tools (e.g. Gatling, Grinder, JMeter)
