Position Description

Our team develops fully automated build, test and delivery infrastructure utilized to deliver to more than 27 million customers worldwide. It is our responsibility to evangelize and promote automation, resiliency and simplicity throughout the R&D organization.

In this role, you would be part of our SWAT team that serves as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders. We own troubleshooting and triage for all build and delivery tools, as well as all official QE environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Trouble shoot incoming issues in assorted list of tools and architectures.

  • Running of and automating daily build, deployment, patching and release activities.

  • Support our release engineering teams building and maintaining the products and services that make up the build and deployment process

  • Continuously train on evolving best practices and patterns driven by the technical leadership

  • Contribute to documentation on design and implementation for use by both development and release engineering teams

  • Flexibility to balance efficiency and urgency

  • Take full ownership of the efficiency and quality of the products and services that the team produces

In the first 12 months you will:

  • Build and maintain automated systems delivering over 100 Concur services and applications to testing and Production systems.

  • Monitor and respond to rapid build engineering process across several tool sets

  • Work with a centralized source code management & product configuration management system including packaging, versioning and deployment engineering

  • Day-to-day support for QA testing teams, providing reliable environments, monitoring systems and applications

  • Identify redundant process and work with management or senior engineers to build automated and efficient solution within Test/Dev and Production environments

  • Troubleshoot, co-design and implement RE projects

  • Implementation and expansion of infrastructure as code Position Requirements Position requirements:

  • Strong technical problem solving skills.

  • Comfortable with Mac, Unix/Linux, and Windows operating systems

  • Able to communicate well, both verbal and written form

  • Ability to take direction and work as a team to accomplish critical business objectives

  • Demonstrable experience with the following technologies:

  • Jenkins

  • GitHub

  • SVN

  • Jira or similar ticketing system

  • Shell Scripting

  • Powershell

  • MS SQL/MySQL Value Competencies:

  • Experience working with teams in different geographies a plus

  • Experience with cloud services is a plus

  • Experience working on agile teams is a plus
