Edwards Lifesciences Supply Chain Manager EMEA in Czech Republic

Role Purpose:

  • Lead supply chain planning and optimization for Europe Region ensuring optimal balance between product availability, customer service and financial goals in support of sales and profitability goals

  • Contribute to the optimization of the global supply chain by aligning regional and global needs and deliverables

Major Job Functions:

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Global Supply Chain Planning and Finance to develop and implement supply chain strategies for the entire portfolio including S&OP/forecasting, capacity and business planning and consignment inventory management.

  • Lead the demand and supply planning process ensuring the development of demand and supply plans that balance required service levels with financial goals. Drive inventory optimization (value, mix and turns). Drive minimization of inventory obsolescence and increased forecast accuracy.

  • Lead and manage the supply chain controlling team, develop a performance culture based on accountability, continuous improvement, cross functional alignment and learning.

  • Drive process automation and business intelligence IT roadmaps for effective supply chain management.

  • Ensure operations comply with quality, regulatory and SOX standards.

  • Develop and implement business process improvements including product launch planning and commercialization.

  • Ensure item master data integrity including regulatory and vendor price information for the effective performance of all supply chain systems, support complementary business processes including waste reporting and financial reporting.

  • Partner and align with logistics to optimize logistics processes including pre-notification of inbound shipments, warehouse space utilization, minimization of on hold inventory and waste reduction.


Required Education/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in business management, engineering, operations or related field required

  • Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills required

  • Capable communicator, comfortable negotiator, at ease in interacting with external suppliers and senior management

  • People management and leadership skills required

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years of supply chain and/or operations experience

  • Minimum of two years of management experience required

  • Previous demand planning, forecasting and/or sales planning experience required

  • Experience in new product launch planning and commercialization required

  • Experience in managing distribution, inventory and/or the development of sales and marketing strategies

  • Experience in sourcing and supplier management including supplier performance management, contract negotiation and development

  • Strong project management and consulting skills with the ability to influence, work effectively and implement solutions in a team environment

  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Experience in implementing process improvement / lean / six sigma methodologies and tools

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications

  • Experience with ERP systems particularly JDE / Oracle

  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (JDA) & business intelligence (Qlikview) a plus
