AT&T Network Technician - Mobility Service Operations in Brno, Czech Republic
The Network Support Specialist role provides support functions that maintain the MSO NOC 24 x 7 First Responder teams. Including sustainment of: Documentation and Job Aids including Outage Criteria; Administration of our service data for Metrics Reporting; Monitor/Maintain/Improve Service Alarming; Support and Transition project work into production and continuously seeking Process Improvements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Must be able to take what they learned theoretically and apply it practically in a dynamic network. Must be proficient in layer 1 thru layer 3 technologies to include STP, ATM, MPLS, OSPF and BGP and how they are implemented and troubleshot. Training is required. Normal corporate LSO training and extra online training is encouraged.
Key Competencies and Skills:
Solves non-routine problems applying technical judgment within appropriate standard procedures. Must have a solid working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Able to understand data trending, analyze data patterns and build processes is desirable. Able to use internal network tools such as VitalSuite, Cisco Prime, Wireshark, Grafana to probe the network is a plus.
Education and Qualifications:
Contributes to maintaining current technologies and/or supports teams in emerging technologies. It is imperative the engineer has an extensive proven background in troubleshooting.
Effectively exchanges routine technical information. Actively engages with others to understand issues and gather necessary information. Presents materials/thoughts effectively one on one. Can speak intelligently to any network anomalies and can represent the team both professionally and technically.
