The role Technical Solution Manager/Architect is significantly important for IBM development.

As a Technical Solution Manager / Architect you will get an opportunity to provide high-value information technology services covering the full range of hardware and software solutions used by clients headquartered in Europe.

Your day to day activities will include:

  • Face-to-face discussions with IBM Clients

  • Gathering of technical requirements, the coordination of delivery organizations and vendors to build a network solution and cost case, writing of technical statements of work and accountability for the overall technical outsourcing solution

  • Develop Contact documents such as Scope of Work (SoW), Service Level and Reporting documentation, Resource Unit descriptions and other documents which are needed as part of IBM’s Solution to the Client

  • You will also be involved in planning and costing related to the Transition and Transformation of the Network solution.

  • Working close with Procurement for 3 rd Party contracts as to understand what is needed in the future based on the solution designed

  • Work with procurement related to Telecom / Network RFP documentation and evaluation

  • Work with all Vendors (Network/Telecom) to define the best solution for the client.

  • Developing detailed network technical solutions for large and complex outsourcing service request

  • Development of IBM Strategic Outsourcing solutions

  • Anticipating, developing and defining innovative network services solutions which match the customer's and IBM's tactical and strategic requirements

  • Work with IBM Delivery to ensure that staffing, skills etc are signed off and available to deliver the contract for both T&T and BAU.

Required credentials and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field of study (i.e. Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications)

  • Network Architect T shaped – deep networking skills, broad knowledge of other technology areas, 10+ years of practical experience in Networking

  • Experience in Client facing role like consulting, building Network solutions, pre-sales, implementation of Network solutions

  • CCNP/CCDP, preferably CCIE/CCDE certification

  • Leadership skills to liaise between groups of technical and non-technical staff

  • Ability to work with minimal management direction and communicate well with clients and IBM executives

  • Excellent written and communication skills are essential - writing clear and well-articulated requirements and design documents

  • Customer facing presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent English language skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Client facing role like consulting, building IT solutions, pre-sales, implementation of IT solutions

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment within IT business

  • Ability to work with minimal management direction and communicate well with clients and IBM executives

  • Technical experience and knowledge in at least one of the following area: Mid-Range/Server (Windows, Linux, Unix), Storage, Mainframe, Network, Security

  • Positive and professional attitude

  • English – fluent

  • German/French/Italian/Czech – as an advantage
