The SupplyChain Collaboration Enablement manager is responsible for the planning and execution execution of enablement programs for Buyer Customers, in EMEA. Enablement programs consist of supplier onboarding on the Ariba Network, supporting the growth of transaction volumes over the Network.

The focus will be on customers deploying Ariba SupplyChain Collaboration features.

The responsibilities are grouped below under the major areas of:

(1) forecasting, capacity, and cost management

(2) services execution

(3) performance management and people leadership

(4) quality and continuous improvement.

While the lead manages her/his own team, the lead should maintain outstanding peer relations with other Delivery Managers, Operations team members, Sales, Customer Engagement Management, Seller Solutions, and Solution Management.

The role requires some minimal amount of travel to customer sites and other Ariba offices (10-20%).

Duties and Responsibilities:

FORECASTING, CAPACITY, and COST MANAGEMENT:

  • Forecasting team resource needs through communication with Solution Managers, Sales, and Commercial Integration.

  • Allocating resources to incoming projects.

  • Monitoring work load across team members.

  • Managing resources assignment, work queue, and forecasted needs accurately.

  • Management of production costs through the ongoing monitoring of effort (hours) per project, project duration, project budget, and actual incurred costs.

SERVICES EXECUTION:

  • Monitoring the progress of individual projects, providing support regarding customer management, project strategy and project delivery.

  • Solving problems as they develop and escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Develop and deploy, as needed, new methodologies and tools, to support the specifics of SupplyChain supplier enablement and adoption

  • Tracking performance relative to defined goals and MBOs.

  • Ensuring team is consistently using and adhering to operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Keeping Leadership up to date on resource needs and project status by ensuring delivery team compliance with reporting and project management tools.

  • Supporting the Account Executives and Solution Consultants in client and sales discussions.

  • Supporting the customer in establishing their enablement strategy, providing SAP Ariba recommended practices, when needed

  • Working with partners, when involved, supporting them in providing best practices around enablement activities

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT and PEOPLE LEADERSHIP:

  • Developing and actively monitoring career development plans for team members on assigned team.

  • Providing real-time, coaching, counseling, and mentoring to team members.

  • Support the growth of the team by hiring

  • Training for further development of functional expertise and competencies.

  • Managing the team members performance review & decision cycles.

QUALITY and CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with services delivered by setting and managing customer expectations and delivery of strategically sound and efficient projects.

  • Ensuring process compliance within the team and consistency with other operating groups.

  • Ensuring best practices are shared amongst team members.

  • Coordinating and leading root cause analyses (RCAs) for all significant quality errors and overseeing the implementation of corrective and preventive action plans identified in these RCAs.

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree

  • Fluency in English (German would be a nice to have)

  • 5 years of relevant working experience in E-procurement and/or SupplyChain solutions deployment.

  • Strong understanding of Procurement and Accounts Payable/Receivable functions.

  • Understanding, or exposure to SupplyChain processes (Consignment, Subcontracting, Seller Managed Inventory, Forecasting ..)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills evidenced through previous management or employee coaching and mentoring experience.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Other Desirable Knowledge/Skills or Experience

  • Experience in Spend Management Technology including Procure to Pay, Electronic Invoicing, and Supplier Network.

  • Well developed analytical skills with formal education, training and/or certification in statistical analysis and financial assessment.

  • Demonstrated ability to obtain and analyze performance management data and metrics.

  • SAP MM exposure (on procurement, supplychain in particular)
