Senior Field Sales Engineer - Hydraulics

Location: Prague, Czech Republic, job focus CEE

The role focuses on developing Eaton’s business in the Hydraulics market for the EMEA region. This is a senior position newly created to develop a market strategy to expand Eaton Hydraulics Power & Control products market share

Develop, and maintain customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume, product/platform mix, and profit margin in the assigned sales area for the entire Eaton hydraulic product portfolio for the key targeted OEM’s customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume, product/platform mix, and profit margin in the assigned sales area for the entire Eaton hydraulic product portfolio for the key targeted OEM’s customers

  • Executing tactical and strategic sales plans in support of the overall sales strategy and to meet performance expectations and requirements

  • Preparing sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness

  • Building close relationships with key personnel within key customers to enhance sales volume, customer satisfaction and long term business prospects.

  • Preparing sales proposals based on customer needs and expectations, ensuring these match Eaton’s capability and offerings

  • Identifying opportunities for new and extension business in short and longer term

  • Monitoring sales performance versus plan and takes corrective actions as needed

  • Collecting and summarizing customer intelligence used as key input to develop marketing and sales plans

  • Monitoring competitive market data and formulates appropriate responses to protect and grow market share



  • Degree in mechatronic engineering, hydraulic or comparable qualification

  • Professional experience in a sales role at a fluid power or automation company

  • Knowledge of motion control, servo technology & Automation machinery is preferred

  • Excellent business understanding

  • Experience in Automation and Electro-Hydraulic including knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves

  • Electronic Controls, -Software , Displays, Programming and system design desirable

  • Service-oriented, combined with the ability to convince and inspire customers

  • Fluent in English language knowledge
