Oracle’s Adaptive Intelligence Applications team is looking for exceptional talent to develop our next generation of Applications running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
The Adaptive Intelligence Applications team is developing Oracle's next generation of applications, driving functionality from Big Data sources, using machine learning to extract value and meaning from the data. As part of that we need experienced managers of development teams to run one or more scrum teams.
We are seeking brilliant individuals with strong engineering background and proven track of records to take teams through the entire software lifecycle to release robust, high quality, production code. Excellent Communication skills, both written and interpersonal, are crucial. A good technical manager should also be able to produce code and designs. Experience as a scrum master is very desirable too.
Ideal candidates should match or exceed the following criteria.
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
10 years of experience in the IT industry, or related experience.
5 years experience of managing teams
5 years experience of Java
Experience of Hadoop is a benefit
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
