Edwards Lifesciences Sr Analyst, Business Systems in Czech Republic

Role Purpose:

  • The purpose of this role is to develop and support the company's business systems through all stages of the project life cycle for selected business areas including JDE Distribution Modules. Understanding/ experience with integration points into JDE Financials.

  • Analysis and resolution of systems issues identified by users across Europe.

  • Coordinating technical solution with BSA Global IT, initializing the procedure using internal issues tool. Plan and execute system tests when required and document it. Perform software quality validation procedure if necessary.

  • Configure ERP systems settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements

  • Determine system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Support users in the area of automated systems.

  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business systems issues.

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing system procedures that meet user requirements.

  • Understanding EDI messages and system interface

  • Occasionally lead projects related to system enhancements and implementations.

  • Lead training and related documentation.

Primary Tasks

  • Analyze and resolve complex system issues identified by users to meet business needs.

  • Coordinate technical solutions with BSA Global IT.

  • Perform Software Quality validation procedure when required

  • Support users in the area of automated systems in particular JD Edwards Distribution modules (Sales Order Management, Inventory Management, Purchasing and Advanced Pricing modules)

  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing system solution and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

  • Provide consultation and guidance to users and other BSAs.

  • Manage complex projects participating as a subject matter expert. Define and maintain project plan. Configure system settings and options; plan and execute (if needed) Gap Analysis, unit testing, integration and acceptance and quality test. Create system specifications to meet business requirement. Write user manuals and documentation. Lead stakeholder meeting and present progress.

  • Lead training and related documentation, deliver training to key users.

  • Identify requirements to develop basic and complex reports using standard tools.



Required Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in information technology, business management, or related field required.

  • Capable communicator at ease in interacting with management/users.

  • Written and spoken English is a must, other European languages is an asset

  • Previous 6-7 years JDEdwards Enterprise One experience and good knowledge of Inventory Management, Purchasing, Advanced Pricing modules and Sales Order Management modules are required as well as strong planning, analytical and problem solving capabilities.

  • Experience in JDE Financial is a big plus.

  • Understanding of JD Edwards Table structures to create functional designs for reports, conversions and integrations

  • Experience from a consultant firm, ITIL certification and Green/ Black Belt certification is an advantage.

  • Project management experience

  • Understanding EDI messages and system interfaces.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. SQL is required.

  • Excellent problem solving and diagnosis, analytical and troubleshooting skills, customer oriented attitude
